Degree Of Bachelor Of Business Administration (B.B.A.)
(Under the Three-year Degree Course)
To Be Effective From June 1999
R.B.B.A. 1 :
I. Candidates for the Degree of bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Gujarat Secondary Education Board or Centeral Examination Board, New Delhi with 50 % marks in theory papers at HSC level (45% in theory papers for SC/ST candidates) in General/Science stream with (a) English and (b) Mathematics or Statistics or Mathematics and statistics or Accountancy (Book-keeping and Accountancy) subjects.)
II. In accordance with St. 182, the candidate will be required to pass three examinations, the first to be called the first year B.B.A., The second, second year B.B.A. and the Third, Third year B.B.A. Examination for the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.)
R.B.B.A. 2 :
A Student who has passed an equivalent examination from Central Examination Board New Delhi and is seeking admission to college affiliated to theis University shall not be admitted without producing an Eligibility Certificate from the North Gujarat University.
R.B.B.A. 3 :
For admission to the First Year B.B.A. Examination, candidates after passing the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by Gujarat Secondary Education Board or Central Examination Board New Delhi CBSE in accordance with St. 182.
I. Should have kept two terms in the respective class at a collage recongnized for teaching courses of study in Business Administration by the University.
II. Should have obtained at least 40% marks in each of the papers in the internal tests conducted by the college.
R.B.B.A. 4 :
The ratio between the internal assessment and the final university Examination shall be 30 : 70 For the purpose of internal assessment the college concerned will conduct at least one test in each term. The college may also arrange Quizzes, Term Papers, Assignments etc.
R.B.B.A. 5 :
The Scheme of examination for various subjects of study at the First Year B.B.A., Second year B.B.A. and Third year B.B.A. Examination under the three year degree course will be as shown in the Tables -I, II and III respectively.
R.B.B.A. 6 :
Candidates desirous of appearing at the First Year B.B.A., Second year B.B.A. and Third year B.B.A. Examinations must forward their application in the prescribed from accompanied by a certificate showing clearly.
• the keeping of two relevent terms,
• satisfying the requirments of minimum attendance in each term and
• obtaining at least 40 % marks in the internal tests,
to the Registrar through the Principal of the college on or before the date prescirbed for the purpose under the relevant ordinance/s.
R.B.B.A. 7 :
Standard of passing : (For the First Year B.B.A., Second year B.B.A. and Third year B.B.A., Examination).
1. To pass the examination, a candidate must obtain in each paper :
a. at least 40% marks in the University Examination, (i.e. minimum 28 marks out of 70 marks) and
b. 40 % marks in the internal Examination; (i.e. minimum 12 marks out of 30 marks)
c. Theory and practical shall be treated as a separate head.
2. Award of Class :
a. Pass Class :
Successful candidates shall be placed in PASS CLASS if they obtain 40 % and more but less than 50 % marks in aggregate of all the subjects in the University examination and in the total of Internal and University examinations.
b. Second Class :
If they obtain 50 % or more marks but less than 60 % marks in aggregate of all the subject in the University examination and in total of the Internal and University examinations shall be placed in SECOND CLASS.
c. First Class :

3. Exemption :

A. candidate who fails in the examination will be permitted at his option, either to appear only in the heads in which he has failed or in all the heads prescribed for that particular examination. Option once exercised shall be final.

A. candidate who has refused once to avail himself of the exemption earned by him in any paper can not claim it on a subsequent occasion, Candidates passing the examination in compartments in the manner herein provided for, shall not be eligible for a prize or scholarship to be awarded at the examination on for the award of class.

4. A.T.K.T. :

A. candidate who fails at the F.Y.B.B.A. examination in not more than two papers will be permitted to keep terms for the S.Y.B.B.A. course but shall not be declared to have passed the S.Y.B.B.A. Examination unless he/she appers and passes in the papers of the F.Y.B.B.A. Examination in which he/she has failed either previously or simultaneously with the S.Y.B.B.A. Examination.

A. candidate who fails at the S.Y.B.B.A. examination in not more than two papers will be permitted to keep terms for the T.Y.B.B.A. Course but shall not be declared to have passed the T.Y.B.B.A. Examination unlesss he/she appears and passes in the papers of the S.Y.B.B.A. Examination in which he/she has failed either previously or simultaneously with the T.Y.B.B.A. Examination.

5.

1. For the purpose of determining the class of a Candidate at the B.B.A. Degree Examination the marks of the first Year, Second Year and Third year Examinations will be a calculated on the follwoing basis :

i. Percentage of marks obtained in subjects other than General Education at the F.B.B.A. i.e. out of 100 marks

ii. Percentage of marks obtained in subjects other than General

Education at the S.B.B.A. i.e. out of 100 marks

iii. Marks obtained in all subjects at the Third BBA i.e. out of 800 marks

Total 1000 marks

2. The marks assigned to a Candidate at the internal evaluation shall be carried forward and credited to the Candidate Concerned in a subsequent examination. if he appear thereat as an ex-student.

3. Not with standing anything contained above, it is hereby provided that.

i. a student who joins the Three year Degree Course in the Second Year after Passing First Year Examination of this University or first year/intermediate examination recongnised as equivalent to the Percentage of the aggregate marks obtained by him thereat shall be counted inplace of the Percentage of marks at the F.Y. Examination as Contemplated above.

ii. a student who has passed the First Year or the Second Year Examination (either of this University or an equivalent examination of any other university) in Compartment in any manner will be a awarded the marks equal to the percentage of marks worked out on the basis of the marks obtained by a candidate in each subject when that subject is cleared by candidate shall be carried forward to a maximum of 47 for the purpose of awarding a class at the Degree Examination.

iii. a fraction of marks determined by taking out the percentage of marks for the purpose contemplated above shall be considered as one mark.
